Perfect day for a picnic...

We spent the afternoon at the Philbrook Museum of Art. I wouldn't say the collections are all that large or impressive, but the grounds are absolutely beautiful. It's nice to picnic and meander through the pathways. Monarch butterflies flutter all around and the air smells like fall- earth and falling leaves. It's a nice place to relax and chat away the afternoon while looking up through tree branches as clouds float by. Cloud gazing always reminds me of the line- "I wandered lonely as a cloud that floats on high o'er vales and hills..." My third grade teacher made us memorize the poem and it always impresses my husband when I spout out some Wordsworth. Thank you Miss Burton!

We've been living in Oklahoma for a few months and so I think it's time for some Oklahoma pros and cons:

Pros- people are very friendly and talkative, weather is warm, it's green without being claustrophobically covered with trees,
we have a lot of friends, we like our ward and we like our apartment.

Cons- Mosquitos, streets are narrow, shopping is limited, LDS temple is 2 hours away, there are no emissions tests so cars pump out tons of sick pollution, due to the lack of tourism taxes are high, there is quite a lot of poverty and intolerance, no national parks and lastly people smoke like there's no tomorrow.
