My husband gave me a really nice compliment last night. While we were battling it out in the kitchen to make dinner, wash dishes and feed a fussy baby I was chatting away and suddenly David said, "You always have something interesting to say. You're just full of thoughts and feelings and questions and ideas. I like that."
I like that you like that.

One of the things I can't get out of my head is something that happened at church on Easter. There was a special program and part of it was for the primary children to go up to the front of the chapel, onto the podium and sing a musical number. I couldn't tell you what they sang, my mind wasn't on the music.
When the children were called up I noticed a teenage boy stand a few rows in front of me. I was slightly confused because primary is only for children (11 and under)- then I noticed the little boy. A family recently moved into our ward that has a 4 year old son who is handicapped. I'm not sure what is wrong, but he cannot walk and he's connected to a lot of tubes and a breathing machine. The teenager who stood was this little boy's older brother. I watched as this teen walked to the end of his row and gently picked up his brother, carried him to the front of the chapel and held him in his arms so that little boy could sing with the rest of the children. As touching as it was to see the younger of the two sing on Easter, I couldn't take my eyes off the older brother. The one that is perfect. The one that does the carrying. The one that is filled with empathy and love. Nothing anyone has ever said in any Easter meeting or lesson has ever moved me the way that this young man did. Something of the divine entered our meeting- something simple and pure and filling.
I feel so grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know He lives. I know He loves us. I know there is a plan- a purpose- to our lives. I know that He has made it so that we can return to live with our heavenly family after we die, through His great sacrifice. I know that He has carried me through lives challenges more times than I can count. I know that I owe everything to Him.
My heart is full with gratitude.
