Overdue baby

Initially, my midwife told me I wouldn't make it through Christmas, pregnant- that was two weeks ago.

Now, I am way overdue and have stopped having any contractions, even false labor contractions. Everyone and their mother has advice on how to start labor, but I'm really adverse to making myself violently ill in the small chance my body decides to kick it up a notch. My biggest fear is having a giant baby that would result in a c-section. I would, also rather not be induced- been there, done that. It is not fun.

So, I sit like a giant toad on a log and wait and wait and wait hoping for some tinge of pain. I clean my house over and over paranoid that any moment I'll go into labor and it'll be left untidy. I think my carpet is getting thread bare from my repeated daily vacuuming. I go to bed every night wondering if I'll wake up in labor and I wake up every morning half relieved I got to sleep and half disappointed I'll have to play the waiting game again.

Come on baby, help mama out. It's time...
