Baby Blessing

Shiloh had his baby blessing this week and my dad flew out to join us. It was a bit of a crazy day. It was our first time taking the baby to church and with our church time change to 1pm (during nap time) Eli was having a really hard time. Eli wanted to go with daddy and grandpa when they went to bless Shiloh and screamed when I wouldn't let him. Then towards the end of the blessing he pulled on a chair in front of him and it fell on top of him causing him to once again scream and cry. (It was a day of a lot of crying on Eli's part.) I think Sundays for the next 10 months are going to be very difficult, ha!

A few of the main points mentioned were that Shiloh would live up to his name becoming a "bringer of peace" and to have the desire to know his savior, Jesus Christ. Also, that he would have a content nature, finding peace and satisfaction amidst life's challenges and not be brought down by anxiety or fear. He was also blessed to recognize and admit his mistakes and weaknesses to his Heavenly Father so that he would not be burdened by sin. Lastly, he was blessed with the desire to serve a mission and to honor and respect women, especially his mother.
