Our town...

I was surprised to find that Tulsa is a hot spot for Art Deco architecture. Though I prefer the more feminine lines of art nouveau it is a giant step up from the west's infatuation with stucco. I love how the further east you go the more history places have and Art Deco in Tulsa eternalizes the cities big boom in the 1920's and 30's. For date night this week we took ourselves on an architecture tour around the city center. Beauty accompanied with quality always makes my heart flutter - it's all in the details.

Tulsa Union Depot

Southwestern Bell Main Dial Building

Boston Avenue Methodist Church

Warehouse Market Building

Mid-Contenent Tower, not art deco, but still lovely
